Out of Charge?

Not placing a battery on charge for long periods of time is one of the biggest killers of VRLA batteries

Need new batteries again?

Stop wasting money by having to replace your VRLA batteries early.

Stranded without power?

Vehicles with dead batteries can be left stuck in the worst postions.

72% of vrla batteries die early

VRLA batteries fail and are replaced too frequently. These batteries are maintenance free but are susceptible to permanent damage from over discharge. Buying a better battery won’t help this as even the best quality VRLA battery can be rendered useless by one major deep discharge event.

Unaware & out of charge

Machines like scissor lifts, floor cleaners and golf carts are often left idle for long periods of time. Due to parasitic loads and normal self-discharge the batteries will over discharge all by themselves. When machines are in more frequent use, operators will sometimes use a vehicle until the battery is flat and then just move on to another machine, rather than take the discharged one back for charging. Both result in over discharged batteries meaning:

  • Machine not usable when required.

  • Battery capacity permanently damaged.

  • Batteries need replacing frequently.

Double the life of your VRLA batteries

The LVA prevents premature damage by emitting an audible alert when the battery should be critically charged. The loud alarm protects the batteries on infrequently used machines and prevents operators from abandoning discharged machines instead of recharging. With both an audio and visual alert means, it’s easy to know when a battery in a vehicle needs charging.

  • Double battery life.

  • Reduce cost of premature battery replacement.

  • Reduce the probability of a major over-discharge.

FAQ'S

Does the LVA work on any VRLA battery?

Yes it does. The LVA configures itself across 24-80V, automatically detecting the correct voltage of the battery. (*72V configuration is available to order separately)

Can I install it myself?

Yes the LVA has been designed to be installed quickly and easily by anyone. It simply connects to the takeoff leads from the battery and it has reverse polarity connectors. We also have a wide range of support literature and video's to help install the LVA.

What are the alerts?

Firstly is a green flash every 30 seconds, this is the LVA's heartbeat and lets you know everything is alright. The stage 1 alert is an amber flash every 30 seconds with a small chirp, this means the voltage is getting quite low and it's time to plug in the machine. The stage 2 alert is a loud alarm with alternating red and amber flashes, this is warning you that you need to charge the machine now to avoid any damage to the battery.

I have a flooded battery, can I use an LVA?

The LVA is only designed for VRLA batteries, however an LVA for flooded batteries will be available soon.
