WHAT’S NEW

hydro cart

This 20 US gallon unit easily transports water to your batteries. Fill the tank from any available water source. The Hydro Cart handles like a hand truck and is powered by any 110 VAC outlet. When the switch is turned on, the pump is activated. Simply connect to the Injector System and open the instant valve. A flow indicator will tell you when the injectors have shut off and it is time to disconnect.

The Hydro Cart is supplied with 25 feet of power cord and 20 feet of 5/8" high output industrial hose. The submersible pump mounted inside the tank delivers all the pressure and volume required by the Injector System.

MINI HYDRO CART

This cart combines transportability with value. Designed with small to mid-size applications in mind this smaller version of our Hydro Cart is the ultimate in convenience. The compact size of the Mini Hydro Cart is ideally suited to be taken on and off service trucks and vans as part of a battery maintenance program. The Mini Hydro Cart features a submersible pump that delivers the correct water pressure and volume required by the Water Injector System.

MOBILE PRESSURE TANKS
10 USA GALLON (INJ-T10M)
20 USA GALLON (ING-T20M)

This unit cleverly uses your building's water pressure to deliver water to your batteries wherever they are. Fill the tank by connecting the input hose up to your building's water supply with the quick connect provided. When the tank is full (as indicated by the gauge on the top of the tank), disconnect the input hose and wheel the unit to the batteries that need to be filled.

The tank has “pressure memory;” water is stored in the tank at the same pressure that it went in (your building’s water pressure). The output flow rate it set to be appropriate for the Water Injector system. Since this unit is powered by the pressure in your water lines, there are no pumps which makes the unit very cost effective and reliable.

The unit is made of a heavy duty steel tank. Inside the tank is a PVC bladder which is used to store the pressure (see How a pressure tank works). Two wheels are attached to a heavy duty tubular steel handle. At rest the wheels are off the ground which not only provides a brake but makes the tank very easy to tilt and move with one hand. A 5/8" high-output industrial hose is used for the output, and a ball valve and flow indicator (spinner) is attached to the end.

A capacity gauge on the top of the tank indicates how full the tank is. The maximum capacity of 10 US gallons is achieved when the tank is pressurized to 80 psi. If you have very low water pressure, or if you wish to use bottled water or some other unpressurized source you may need to use a Booster Pump. To tell whether you need a Booster Pump or not, you can either connect up the tank and see how full it gets, or you can use a static pressure gauge. The chart shows how much water can be stored depending on your water pressure.

DIRECT FILL HOSE

This is a very economical unit if your building's plumbing already has the capacity to power Water Injector systems. Once plumbed in, you have a watering station where you can bring batteries to be filled. Simply connect, open the ball valve, wait for the spinner to stop, and disconnect.

The unit is comprised of an inline sediment filter, a heavy duty 5/8" hose, a pressure regulator, flow indicator (spinner), and ball valve. It requires a plumbing connection to a 3/4” npt connection. An isolation valve is recommended to be installed at the source.

NOTE: Make sure the output has enough pressure at the high flow rates for Injectors by using a Flow checker.

flow checker

The flow checker gauge is one of the most important tools in the service technician's toolbox. It is essential when installing a direct fill hose, and can be an important aid in trouble shooting Water Injector systems. The flow checker simulates a Water Injector system and shows the water pressure while a system is in use. There are 3 brass screw-on caps with precision drilled holes calibrated to simulate the flow required by Water Injector Strings. There is one cap to simulate a 12 cell, 18 cell, and 24 cell Water Injector String. A pressure gauge displays the dynamic pressure (Read about The difference between static and dynamic pressure). The Flow checker attaches instantly to any Water Supply with a female quick-disconnect fitting.

To use, screw on the appropriate simulator cap. If the largest Injector string you will be using is for an 18 cell battery, then use the 18 cell cap. Then connect the Flow Checker to the output of your water supply, and turn on the water flow. The pressure gauge will tell you what the pressure is while the water is flowing (dynamic pressure). Injector strings require the pressure to be at 20 psi or higher for maximum reliability. When using the direct fill hose we recommend that the pressure should read 25 psi or higher since in-plant water pressure can vary during the day or from season to season.

booster pump

The Booster pump is used when the in-plant water pressure is not high enough to completely fill a pressure tank. It can also be used to pump water from a non-pressurized water source such as bottles of distilled water and fill a pressure tank. it cannot be used to fill Injectors directly since it does not have a high enough flow rate. If you want a pump system that can fill Injectors directly, use either the A/C powered cart, or the Water Pumping System kit (INJ-WPS) instead.

A water resistant electrical box encloses a diaphragm demand pump. The pump delivers 1.5 gallons per minute and automatically turns off when the output pressure reaches 80 p.s.i. The unit is wall mountable and requires a 110V A/C outlet. (European and international versions are also available)
